• Best and Worst Airports Where You Can Find a Date

Thinking of finding that special someone but tired of going to regular places where you can meet people? Perhaps you can start trying at airports. For a place that supposedly connects one place to another, airports can also bring two people together. Instead of boring yourself waiting in that lounge for your plane, why not strike a conversation with that interesting-looking traveler? Maybe you are bound for the same direction, perhaps even sharing the same flight. All the better—you can continue your friendship in that foreign country the two of you will be visiting. And what better way to get to know someone that by being strangers in a foreign country?

A study was done to determine what city—or airport—is best for meeting and hitting it off with someone. The statistics of delayed flights, the amenities and weather are, apparently, all play important roles. San Francisco International for example, ranks high in visitor satisfaction, because of the many shops, bookstores, restaurants, bars, and even museum exhibits. So even if you get stuck inside the airport because of a delayed flight, aimless strolling might lead you to someone interesting.
And as for the airports with the fewest delayed flights, great weather, and few shops, well, the only time you may have to spend inside the airport is to pick up your luggage.
The following are considered as the best airports for picking up a date:
    Liberty in New Ark

Delays in flights are almost always expected here, but don’t worry, because the airport’s fifty two restaurants and bars will keep you occupied—and even have you chatting with someone. If you really meet someone and your flight’s cancelled, head on to Manhattan for a real date.

John F. Kennedy in New York
Considered by many to be one of the world’s ugliest airports, and delays in flights for over an hour is expected, JFK will treat you to a beer garden, a wine bar and, for the weary travelers, four spas. But the JetBlue’s T5 terminal is a great hangout, with its dimly-lit interiors.

    Philadelphia
Philadelphia’s airport has over a hundred and sixty shops and restaurants, which is good because for 247 days a year, visibility outside is obscured, and there are a lot of waiting. Spend time walking around the place to do a little shopping—both for items and for prospective dates.

    Dallas/Fort Worth
The five terminals inside Dallas/Fort Worth have fourteen airline clubs where you can meet strangers and fellow passengers. These are relaxed places where you can hangout and strike a conversation with others. You need to be a member to get in, but nearly all of the clubs have day passes which will give you access to snacks, the bar, and business centers.

    Minneapolis/St. Paul
With 85 days of snow, 38 days of thunderstorms, and 96 with fog, the amount of delays and cancelations of flight are almost always unavoidable. But there are four gaming arcades for the young ones, and sixteen bars or breweries all over, so you’ll never be bored inside this airport.

    San Francisco
Perhaps because of the many delayed flights in San Francisco Airport, this airport has so many incredible amenities that will make you forget about the hours you miss because of your delayed flight. With museum galleries, spas, spiritual reflection and meditation areas, or even a simple reading room, whatever type of person you are (or whatever type of person you are looking for), it’s easy inside this luxurious airport.

    Charles de Gaulle in Paris
Also considered as one of the ugliest airports, Charles de Gaulle makes up through its wine bars. As 25% of its flight is expected to be delayed, you might want to sip a glass of wine as you chat with that lovely French sitting right across you.
The following tops the list of worst airports to find a date:

    Phoenix in Sky Harbor
A statistic of 364.9 days without snow and 81 percent of on-time flights will be good, but if you’re planning to spend some time lounging about and trying to find a date, then this won’t help. If ever you get the small chance of having a delayed flight however, head to the Bone Yard outside Terminal 4 which is a park that’s suited for meeting people.

    Madrid-Barajas
Far from being considered as one of the ugliest airports, this one has stunning architecture. Perhaps because you’ll be busy staring at its beauty, there are only few bars and restaurants—30—inside one of the world’s busiest airports. Not much of a place to find and meet strangers.

    Los Angeles
With hot celebs prancing about, you would expect posh shops and restaurants inside the LAX, but only fast food joints seem to be available here—eight Starbucks and four McDonalds, to name some. These fast food places won’t give you the time or the ambience to meet someone special.

    Dubai International

Like the city where it is, the airport seems like a massive shopping mall. With so many different kinds of amenities inside, you’d think you can stroll and shop to your heart’s content. But in the desert, there aren’t that many problems which delay flights, so you really won’t have that much time to go around shopping and meeting people.

    McCarran in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas there are only thirteen days of rain, and the airport is so close to the Strip that it’s a bit pointless to stay inside, if in case your flight gets delayed. Save your time looking for a prospect, as he or she is probably out, trying their hands in casino.

    Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta
You won’t be able to catch fellow passengers and travelers here because this airport is amazingly huge, you’ll spend time finding your way and connecting between gates. Already one of the ugliest airports, you’re out of luck when you plan on staying and finding someone interesting here.

    Toronto Pearson
In this airport, the bars and cafes are mediocre and few, despite the fact that in this place, many people get stranded because of snow. At best, you can go over to Terminal 1’s exhibit of Jurassic-era dinosaurs, and you might find someone interested at this, or someone who thinks it’s weird enough and asks you out somewhere else.
